Become a part of HSG

Membership is open to geologists, earth scientists, engineers, teachers and students who share the Society’s interest in the geosciences of the Himalaya. Under the Society’s rules there are six classes of membership — Founder Members, Honorary Fellows, Life Members, Members, Institutional Members and Student Members. Subscription is charged as decided by the Council from time to time.

Life Member

For earth scientists, engineers, teachers and professionals seeking a lasting association with the Society.

  • Permanent membership
  • Right to vote in Council elections

Member

For any person with an interest in geology, engineering and related fields, admitted on approval by the Council.

  • Full participation in activities
  • Right to vote in Council elections

Student Member

For students in an under-graduate, post-graduate or doctoral course at a recognised institution.

  • Participation in all activities
  • Free access to the online Journal
  • Publications at a discounted price

Institutional Member

For academic, research, government and non-government institutions supporting the Society’s objects.

  • Authorised representative may vote
  • All Society publications free of cost
  • Notices of meetings & seminars

Download and print the Membership Registration Form below.

Fill it in and attach a recent photograph.

Pay the prescribed subscription as decided by the Council.

Submit the completed form to the Society for approval by the Council.
