Extraordinary General Body Meeting

The meeting at which the newly elected Executive Body was formally welcomed, the election having returned all office bearers unopposed. Banking and administrative arrangements were settled, pending statutory filings and the appointment of auditors were taken up, and plans were adopted for membership expansion, a programme of activities up to December 2027, and development of the Society’s website.

Annual General Meeting

3rd Annual General Meeting

The third Annual General Meeting, held by video conference, reviewed governance and compliance matters. It took up the appointment of an Election Officer and election regulations, the presentation and approval of the annual accounts and auditor’s report, and the early development of the Society’s website. It was affirmed that membership requires a one-time registration fee only.

Founding Meeting

1st Formal (Founding) Meeting

The founding meeting of the Society, held by video conference, at which the formation of the Society was unanimously approved. A Governing Body was constituted with subject experts drawn from across the geoscience and engineering streams, and it was agreed to hold at least one theme-based seminar each quarter.
